Monthly Service Fee
Some of the key values behind the concept of a co-op are openness and fairness.
The monthly service fee is your portion of the physical facilities. The charge covers our costs for connecting you to the electric grid, including:
- The meter
- Service drop
- Transformer
- A portion of the poles and wire connecting you to the nearest substation
Without this minimum amount of equipment, members would not be able to receive electric service.
Tracker Fee
The tracker fee is a billing adjustment to cover the fluctuation cost of power we will purchase and distribute. We purchase power from our power supplier, Hoosier Energy. The tracking mechanism recovers variable production cost incurred by Hoosier Energy during a specific period, including:
- Fuel – including coal and natural gas
- Wholesale power market purchases
- Operations and maintenance
- Emissions regulations
The tracker amount fluctuates quarterly
Late Fee
If payment is not made by the due date, a late fee is added onto your bill
