Residential EV Incentive

EV Registration

Register your EV with BCREMC to stay informed about future programs, incentives, and updates just for EV owners.

How to Register:
Submit a photo of your BMV registration as proof of ownership.

Incentive:
BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) owners will receive a $50 Mastercard Gift Card.

Time-of-Use (TOU) Enrollment

Both BEV and PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle) owners can participate in the TOU rate program and receive an incentive. The TOU rate encourages you to charge your electric vehicle during off-peak hours, at a reduced cost per kWh.

Eligibility:
EV owners that are current TOU participants or new TOU enrollees who commit to the program for at least 12 months.

Incentive:
Receive a $75 Mastercard Gift Card upon enrollment or confirmation of participation.

4-H Enrollment Fee Reimbursement

BCREMC is proud to support the local 4-H program by reimbursing the $20 participation fee to BCREMC members.

HVAC Tune-Up

One incentive per member per calendar year.

Incentive – 50% of serviced cost up to $50:

• Must complete application and submit copy of a detailed receipt/invoice and be submitted within 90 days or within the same calendar year as serviced
• HVAC unit must be 3 or more years old to qualify
• Tune-up service must be performed by a licensed HVAC contractor

Electric Outdoor Equipment

Two incentives per member per calendar year.

• Equipment purchased must be new and have a minimum one-year warranty
• Equipment must be battery or plug-in electrical equipment
• Application and receipt must be submitted within 90 days of purchase date or in the same program year

Incentive – 50% of purchased equipment up to allotted amount:

• Handheld equipment (trimmer, leaf blower, chain saw) – up to $50
• Push-type equipment (snow blower, tiller, push mower) – up to $50
• Riding equipment (riding tractor, zero-turn mowers) – up to $150

Questions to Ask When Replacing Your HVAC Brochure

Two incentives per member.

• Equipment installed must be new and be AHRI certified
• Application and itemized receipt/invoice must be submitted within 90 days of installation or within same calendar year
• Rebates are for whole-home installation except for Single-room Mini-Split Heat Pumps
• Single-room Mini-Split Heat Pumps are only for single room addition to primary home and external outbuildings (garage, shed, barn, greenhouse, etc.)
• Minimum HSPF2 ratings: 7.6

Minimum SEER2 ratings:

• ASHP minimum SEER2 Tiered Levels 14.3 – 15.3; 15.4 – 17.2; 17.2 and Greater
• MSHP minimum SEER2 17.3
• SRMSHP minimum SEER2 17.3
• GEO – no minimum SEER2 rating – Incentive will be flat $2,000/unit

Air Source Heat Pump (Whole Home):

• Tier 1 – 14.3 – 15.3 SEER 2 = $300.00/unit incentive
• Tier 2 – 15.4 – 17.2 SEER 2 = $400.00/unit incentive
• Tier 3 – 17.3 & Greater SEER 2 = $500.00/unit incentive

Mini-Split Heat Pump (Whole Home):

• 17.3 SEER 2 & Greater = $500.00/unit incentive

Mini-Split Heat Pump (Single Room):

• 17.3 SEER 2 & Greater = $300.00/unit incentive

Geothermal Heat Pump:

• No SEER2 Requirement = $2,000/unit incentive

Water Heater

Two incentives per member.

• Minimum UEF ratings – .90 (must show proof of UEF ratings – ex. Technical spec’s or AHRIcertificate)
• Equipment installed must be new
• Application and receipt/invoice showing model # and cost (minus tax and labor) must be submitted within 90 days of installation or within same calendar year

Heat Pump Water Heater $500:

Wi-Fi enabled electric storage water heater $200
