When installing a new water heater for new home construction or replacing an existing gas water heater, Bartholomew County REMC will reimburse:

• $250 for a 80 Gallon High Efficiency
• $150 for a 40 or 50 Gallon High Efficiency
• REMC incentive will be paid by check.

When replacing an existing electric water heater with another electric water heater, receive this incentive:

• $150 for a 80 Gallon High Efficiency
• $50 for a 40 or 50 Gallon High Efficiency
• REMC incentive will be paid by check.

• $300 for an add on heat pump to an existing water heater
• $400 for an all-in-one heat pump water heater

Specifications for new water heaters installed under this program:

• Must have a .90 Energy Factor or greater
• Must have dual elements (max. 5,500 watts).
• Must have temperature and pressure relief valve installed.

Requirements to qualify for this program:

• New water heater must be installed in Bartholomew County REMC service area.
• Must show proof of sale, model and serial numbers, size, make and energy rating.
• Rebates and incentives are available on Touchstone Energy Homes.
