Quick rising water on June 7th
took the downtown area by
surprise. As the Hawcreek surged
through the area at a fast pace,
much devastation was left behind.
The completely flooded basement at
the REMC office at 801 Second St.
rendered the building inoperable.
All electronic infrastructure was
lost to the building including
phone, internet and network
communications.
The
administrative office of REMC has
relocated to 1502 Southpark Court
in the Central Communications
building at the corner of South
Gladstone Avenue and Marr Road.
See Map.
You may pay your bill in person
at this location or pay over the
phone by calling 372-2546. You
may also deposit your payment at
the night drop box located at the
drive through window at 801 Second
St. Envelopes are provided there
to put your payment in.
The Operations Department was not
affected by the flood. Line crews
will continue to be dispatched
from the 801 Second Street Garage.
Thankfully all system back up
tapes were restored and no payment
or member information was lost.

The REMC basement totally
underwater.

Utility poles and LP tanks from
Premier Ag scatter the area.
