CFL Bulbs Given Away Throughout 2010
As
a special project in cooperation
with Hoosier Energy, REMC will
host bulb trade-in days throughout
2010. Our first 4 bulb trade-in days
in 2009 were a big success.
Don't miss your chance this
year to get free light bulbs.
The
next trade-in day will be August
13th, at our 1697 W Deaver
Road
Location, from 8:30-4:30.
Any member that brings in an old
incandescent bulb will receive a
new CFL as a replacement. The
limit is 15, bring in 15
incandescent bulbs and we will
give you 15 CFLs. Keep in
mind we will have only 60, 75
and100 watt equivalents and
floodlights. The idea of the
trade-in days is for the bulbs
that you receive are put to use.
For those that have already
received 15, you are welcome to
come and get more if you need them
to replace the incandescent
lighting you are currently using.
We don’t want them sitting on a
shelf. THIS IS FOR REMC
MEMBERS ONLY.
Also on August 13th, REMC will
host a fish fry to benefit the
United Way. Come and get
your light bulbs and get a fish
sandwich too! Food will be
served from 11-1:30.
Remember to always recycle spent
CFL bulbs. REMC has a recycle
program. Drop off your spent CFL
bulbs and they will be recycled
properly. If a CFL stops working
, it should be properly recycled,
not thrown in the trash.
Stay tuned to
the Electric Consumer for more
trade-in day’s throughout the
year!
